Green Site Development

description

An adapted version of Rhein Benninghoven Elementary, the design thought on Lenexa Hills Elementary evolved to focus on additional transparency between collaborative spaces and throughout the building. This grew out of the District’s ongoing lessons managing newly collaborative buildings and better allows the administration to keep the pulse of the building and manage the flow of students.

Unlike its predecessor, this project was a green site development. However, similar to Benninghoven, the compact, efficient layout was valued where the existing building was still in use during construction.
