Why did you decide to work in the AEC industry?
“I have strong passions for helping people, and for being creative and being purposeful in my creativity. Interior design allows me to combine both of those passions as I get to utilize my skills to provide safe, efficient spaces that just so happen to look good, too. I love the freedom, opportunities, and learning that all comes with commercial design. Learning every day is a big part of what we do, and is essential to make sure we provide the best possible design solutions to enhance the lives of many.”

What are 5 hashtags that describe your personality?
“#designeratheart #chocoholic #designerbydayartistbynight #sustainableliving #communitydriven”

What is something about you that would surprise people?
“I am fluent in Spanish and find the language, cultures, and history very interesting. I was blessed to goon a mission trip to Mexico for the first time two years ago, and I did not want to come back to the U.S.! I have missed Mexico ever since we crossed the border back into the states, and want to travel throughout all of Central and South America, as well as Spain.”

Where is your happy place?
“My happy place would be anywhere outdoors, especially in nature! I love exploring new places, whether it is a new ice cream shop, or a new city or country. I love to travel, but obviously I haven’t been able to do much of that lately.”

How do you spend your time outside of work?
“I love to draw and paint. Baking cookies and banana bread are my favorite. I love volleyball – both indoor and sand! Above anything, I really love spending time and getting to know people. I love doing community service opportunities as they come up, but COVID kind of affects that.”
