In 1999, we created a campus master plan for the Belton School District. This project, which included the Fieldhouse, Aquatic Center, and Performing Arts Center, was the final major addition included in those plans.
The new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center was built adjacent to the school’s commons, allowing the area to serve as the pre-performance space for visitors attending programs. In this stage, a new Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center were also added to the high school with a shared entry lobby. The Fieldhouse seats 1,405 with a balcony for additional seating, activities, and an elevated walking track. The Aquatic Center features an eight-lane, 25-yard pool with two, one-meter diving boards. The pool includes a ramp to provide handicapped access and allow easier access for swimmers.
Along with these changes, we added 22 classrooms to the building to bring the 9th grade back to the building. The project also included additional administrative staff and offices to accommodate the increase in student population.
