This project is an 8,900 SF remodel on the HCA Research Medical Center campus for a new Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Center. Here patients and their families have access to cutting edge technology and bone marrow transplant care. The space includes 19 infusion bays, two private infusion rooms and 10 exam rooms. Each infusion bay includes a curtain for guests to pull close for more privacy. Additionally, nurse touchdowns have been situated conveniently for staff to easily see and access patients in the infusion bays.

The goal of this project was to create a warm, calm, and comfortable space for patients, families, and staff. We used wood accents throughout on the infusion bay divider walls and ceiling feature to bring warmth to the area. Multiple lighting solutions, including cove lighting, and lightly colored walls also help to brighten the space. Large windows also line the exterior walls to allow natural light to filter from the infusion bays into the corridor and nurse stations.
